T2 lens adapter ring

The T Mount adapter allows you to attach your Canon EOS DSLR /SLR camera to lenses, telescopes, microscopes, enlargers, and bellows attachments that have a T2 universal thread mount.

So, what's a T2 mount?

Think of it as a universal, screw-on system for lenses. It lets you quickly swap lenses on compatible cameras—you just twist them on and off.

Originally, T2 lenses were designed for SLR and DSLR cameras. But here’s the cool part: with a simple adapter, you can also use them on modern mirrorless cameras. That makes T2 glass a pretty flexible choice if you like experimenting with different gear.

A T2 thread, also written T-2, with a diameter of 42mm and a thread pitch of 0.75mm. It is also sometimes written as M42x0. 75. The low pitch distinguishes it from other M42 threads(pitch 1mm).
